Isn't it beautiful?!?!? Point Reyes Lighthouse down through that fog. If you look closely, there is an ocean at the bottom of the cliffs in these pictures. Jamie and I decided that it was time for me, the one armed man, to get out and start getting some fresh air. I have been laid up for a week since surgery, only leaving the house to work four days last week. Breathing in fresh coastal air and walking a short distance really exhausted me- so the two of us didn't walk the 300+ steps down to the lighthouse (and back up). We started out by hanging out and enjoying the beautiful 65 degree sunny day by the beach waiting for the next shuttle bus. The high winds brought in the fog immediately after riding the shuttle bus, after 10 minute drive we ended up at Point Reyes and it was 47 degrees and VERY windy. It wouldn't have been that bad except that I suggested to Jamie that walking down and up 300 stairs would be easier without sweatshirts- My bad!
After a chilly picnic lunch in the less than desirable weather, we rode the bus back to the beach and explored a few towns on the way back home.
here are a few pics of us enjoying our TCBY in the back of my car. Notice the sun- the fog was only at the coast, so we stayed here and thought about how great the weather was, 70 degrees and sunny in mid February.
