It's amazing that we got 5 yards of material delivered on Friday and by Saturday night we had transformed our backyard furthern into the Oasis we are imaging it to be.
Jeff and I had a goal this summer to start reinventing the landscape in our backyard. But an unexpected master bathroom remodel mid-July but that on the back burner. We knew that we wanted to do most of the work ourselves (I know we are crazy!) but had no idea that we could really get our vision from paper into reality. A lot of hard work and teamwork helped us pull it off and while it may be September we are pretty impressed on what we've accomplished!
Keeping a smile on our faces and taking plenty of water breaks helped us get through the day! And the blessing that it wasn't 100 degrees outside helped too.
Since we had some extra materials we decided to do the side yard as well to help even that area out between our house and the neighbors and also make for a nice transition to the backyard patio.
We must really be crazy because we are already starting to wonder "What can we do next?" I'm shopping for patio furniture for the new shady patio. And looking into plants to go in the areas that don't make up the pathways! But some of the next big projects might have to wait until after the new year!
