Moab Baby!

Howdy Folks!!!

Today we departed Denver and said goodbye by taking photos with gigantic animal statues... See Jamie pushing the Denver Convention center on it's side with the help of a HUGE bear? Yes, that is Jamie, I took the pic, I saw her... the cops came after the bear pushed a hole in the window, so we left. J/K

A few miles outside of Denver is the Red Rocks Ampitheater and Park. Here are a couple small pics of the 9000 seat ampitheater. This was my second time there, I saw Blues Traveler at Red Rocks on the 4th of July a few years back, from there you can see Denver and the surrounding area- very cool on the 4th. Today, Jamie and I saw people working out by jogging or jumping up the stairs... they were clearly nuts! The weather was still mild, under 100.

We made it to Moab, UT today just before sunset, well over 100 degrees (107 to be exact) ! Just to clarify from yesterday's entry, Jamie doesn't drive in the hills, today we went through the Rockies... so I drove 85%, Jamie held on tight, clutched her neck pillow and pressed the invisible brake pedal on the passanger side.

This evening we decided to relax and enjoy the town of Moab as we got settled into our hotel room. Plans are like rules and meant to be broken, we are now spending 2 nights in Moab. toinght went out for a light dinner and talked about our adventures for tomorrow. After dinner and walking downtown Moab, we stopped by the local Moab Brewery. I must say that they have a mighty fine pale ale available for take out in 6 packs... yum.

Cheers!
-Jeff
