First of all, Wednesday night we were lucky enough to visit and stay over at my friends' Tara and Joe's house in West Des Moines. We tried out a great new restaurant called "Crave" and although we didn't indulge in the chocolate fondue. Tara and Joe did make us Snatcheroos back at their place while we watched "Project Runaway" (I couldn't miss an episode even on the road and I think Jeff is hooked too - but maybe just because he thinks Heidi Klum is cute! ) We were just chilling that night and didn't remember to take any pics. But thank you Tara and Joe, and Princess Betty for your hospitality!
On Thursday morning we headed out of Iowa at about 6:30 a.m. and driving through Nebraska pretty much took all day. But we were happy to see the speed limit was 75mph and we could just power through it. We did stop for at least one sightseeing moment, when we stopped at the Museum of Military Vehicles. An outdoor spectacle of tanks, trucks and hel
icopters. Pretty cool, look at us!
We arrived in Colorado about 1:30 (mountain time) and giving the rolling hills and change in elevation, I knew we were no longer in my kind of country.
(Jeff is taking over) See these guys to the left, That is Jason Boland in the hat and his band The Stragglers. We saw them at the Bluebird Theater near downtown Denver last night. The opening act was possibly the worst band we have ever heard/seen. They were attempting to film a video, it was incredibly lame, I was sorry to witness it. But Jason played for over 2 hours and if he ever crosses the Rockies, I will do my best to go back to see his show. I have one live CD of his and he played most of the songs from there so Jamie and I at least recognized some of the songs and could sing along. Check him out at http://www.thestragglers.com It is worth a couple minutes to distract you from more important things like work :) -Osborn OUT!
It's beautiful and we are looking forward to hiking and seeing some of the Rocky Mountain National Park today in Estes Park. http://www.nps.gov/romo/
We will talk to all of you later, we're halfway home and loving every minute of it!! Keep those comments coming!

Wow!! It's so hard to believe you are so far away (sniff, sniff)!
But it looks like you are having a lot of fun and enjoying yourselves! I love coming to your blog and seeing what you're up to and what part of the country you are experiencing!
There's one thing I would like know, though.... Who is doing the driving?
P.S. I, too, am addicted to Project Runway! Malan was weird, I'm glad he's gone. And I think his accent is fake.
Glad you guys are enjoying the trip. Todd would love the Museum of Military Vehicles, I'll have to ask if he's ever been. If not, we may have to follow your footsteps and check it out. Who would have thought there would be something that interesting in Nebraska!! :-)
Enjoy Colorado--have you experience a 3:00 shower yet? Seems whenever I was out there it always rained for about 20 minutes at 3:00p!!
Keep on trekking and keep on posting! We miss you!
