Going through the BIG D... Dallas Baby!!!

Go Hawks!!! well, not last weekend against Wisconsin. The Hawkeyes lost but Jamie, her sister Becky, and I had a great time at Wizards Sports Bar. We were all decked out in our Hawkeye gear, but the 2 Badger fans had it their way- we enjoyed our fried food and beverages despite the loss. Continuing with the topic of College Football, Becky's boyfriend Todd is from Ohio and is a Buckeye fan. In case you didn't know, I was raised in a house learning how to say "Oh, I hate Ohio State" well before I could walk!

Later that night we went out to dinner, see Todd in the Ohio State T-shirt... I took exception to that and.... well, I had to break his right arm. Just kidding, he broke it in an indoor soccer game and he is twice my size - in a tough military way! We tried not to bring up the big game #1 vs. #2 much, but still it came up in conversation.

Here are the 4 happy folks fraternizing together at the Blue Goose Resteraunt in Dallas, Texas. Becky, Todd, Jamie, and myself all had a great time... Todd and I even indulged in the 'Old School Top Shelf Margarita' - I highly recommend it :)

Some time throughout the weekend we managed to make it to a craft show that served alcohol... Bless you Texas!!! A few games of Rummey were played- If I only knew 10's were also worth 10 points instead of 5 I would have edged out the champion-Becky. No, we did not ride the mechanical bull or two step on the dance floor of Red River, but we did enjoy the sights and sounds of a Texas Dacehall and Saloon. (Jamie made me call it a saloon- it's a dancehall) for you Chico State folk- it was the Crazy Horse.. but 10x Crazier!!!

Of course, a trip to Dallas would not be complete without a visit to Becky's School- Brentfield Elementary... GO BOBCATS!!!!! I was jealous fo her enormous classroom and neat toys like a cool projector for her class. Not so jealous of hearing that she taught 90+ kids the electric slide and helped perform it on stage in front of all the parents.... (that means there is a youtube video out there).. I will get the link up ASAP :)

We are looking forward to seeing Becky and Todd again in March or when they come to visit... adios until next time!
-Jeff
