My mom and George visited us for 4 days in mid-June and it was so wonderful to have them here and do some fun things around the Bay Area. They hadn't visited California since the wedding nearly 3 years ago so we had chance to relax and show off this great region of ours! We headed out to the Capay Valley to visit the farm that Jeff and I regularly get our fresh produce from and it was Peach Pickin' weather!

On our way back from Capay we stopped and toured the John Muir house in Martinez. Having watched the National Parks series, we've been soaking up our knowledge of him and it was very historical and beautiful piece of property that we were able to tour. Become Muir loved Yosemite so much he planted a giant sequoia near the home, here is Jeff admiring how it's grown!

Another day of their visit took us to Monterey and Point Lobos, we visited the Aquarium which was just absolutely amazing - I want a membership! And then we headed to the coast to do a little tidepooling and walk through the cypress grove just before the fog rolled in that evening. We finished the night off in Carmel where we had dinner at Flying Fish Grill,
