As mentioned in yesterday's post, we've been staying with my aunt, Stacey and her husband Bruce. Stacey's due date is tomorrow. And she was such a trooper to come out to the picnic today. We finally got Baby Blomme's consent form signed and so here are some pics of our nice hosts for this weekend. We are placing bets on when the little boy or girl may arrive (they are waiting to be surprised) - i say this coming Wednesday and a little boy. Jeff concurs a boy and says poor Stacey will have to wait until next Saturday. So check out the photos and here comes the interactive portion of the blog - we are taking a poll. Will Stacey and Bruce have a boy or a girl? and when will the little one's birthday be? Comments welcome!
Friends a Plenty!
In addition to having a lot of relatives at the party, we also had friends show up which was wonderful. Thank you Abbey, MaryAnn & Mike, Marla & Bill, Luke & Theresa - it was great to see all of you in the same afternoon.
I was especially excited to see the Huntley family: Dale, Lynn, Dale Jr. and Noel. In college at Augustana I was their nanny for 2.5 years. When I met Dale Jr. and Noel, they were 3 and about 1 month old. Now Dale Jr. is going to be 10 in September and Noel is 7!! Hard to believe - but it's great that they remember me. And boy did Dale Jr. LOVE Jeff's "bobblehead baseball" shirt. He's so great with kids, no wonder he's a teacher!
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing with my dad and Pam. We hope to spend some more time with them tomorrow and then the trip really gets started on Monday when we will leave the state of Illinois. I start to get a little teary eyed when I think about the fact I don't know when I'll be in this area again but what lies in front of me is so exciting that I just keep smiling and having Jeff by my side is more than any girl could ask for! Good night! Love, Jamie

I say a Boy on July 23. Sounds like you have been partying all the time and the food sounds great and the cake looks wonderful. We will try and take good care of Jamie and the Osborn Inn is always open for her family. Mom O
Man, there sure is a lot to catch up on when you're out of town for 3 days!! Glad to hear the trip is going well, but you're making me miss home a little with all the fun stuff you're doing (and food you're eating!!!).
Hope you're not getting the heat we are in Texas and travel safe to the next location. Can't wait to hear more!
