A week in California

Hello Friends and Family - Jamie has been living in 'sunny CA' for a week now and she is adopting a laid back California attitude. I have found her by the pool with a book or two by her side when I got home from my training. My training was ok, not nearly as fun as Jamie's week of sunbathing, reading, relaxing, and exploring her new home... oh yeah, I guess she is trying to find a jobby-job too.

I am really excited to see my friends that I haven't been with in a while. They are quickly becoming 'our' friends and not just 'mine'. Here is a picture of Aric and Emily who had an announcement to make to us at dinner the other night. Aric finally asked Emily the big question and by evidence of the rock on her left hand, she said 'yes'.
Congratualtions Aric, I promise I will do my part as your best man. You got yourself a good one my hobbit friend.
So we are excited to celebrate with them at their wedding this time next year!
It's still hard to believe that I don't have a return ticket back to Chicago, but I am loving California and have even been finding my way around on the freeway. And thanks to the chance to take Jeff's family to the airport to catch their flight to Michigan this past week - I drove over the Bay Bridge for the very first time all by myself! It was awesome!

Also we have found out that our friends, Sara and Dylan share our blog fever and have started one to share their adventures in the windy city. Check it out after you've read ours, it's located at www.dschicago.blogspot.com

All the best,

Jamie and Jeff
